Please note: The Sophos AP6 series can only be managed via Sophos Central or Local Web Interface. The firewall can no longer be used as a controller.
The Sophos AP6 series offers a wide range of models that are perfectly tailored to the needs of different environments. This series includes four indoor models and an IP67-certified outdoor model. Featuring the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology, the access points are ideal for both new and existing customers looking to improve their Wi-Fi infrastructure as part of a network upgrade or vendor consolidation project.
Better performance with Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E
Discover the latest wireless generation - Wi-Fi 6. This innovative standard not only covers the widely used 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, but also extends its capabilities to the 6 GHz band, known as Wi-Fi 6E, for environments with newer devices. By utilising this cleaner and less congested frequency range, Wi-Fi 6 offers impressive performance. Known as "High-Efficiency Wi-Fi", it provides higher throughput per area in high-density environments and significantly reduces latency.
Powerful Wi-Fi 6 technology for demanding applications
The integration of Wi-Fi 6 brings significant benefits, including higher speeds, greater capacity and improved network stability. This is particularly important for organisations that rely on modern, bandwidth-intensive applications or need to support a high number of concurrent users.

Your provider is offering you new and faster DSL rates with speeds of up to 1000 MBit/s? If so, these are usually connections with so-called Supervectoring Profile 35b, a new DSL technology that enables high bandwidths by using highly efficient vectoring techniques and an expansion of the frequency spectrum. In order to be able to use these, however, high-quality hardware is required.
With the further development of highly efficient vectoring techniques and an expansion of the frequency spectrum, higher bandwidths are made possible by means of G.Fast technology. However, in order to be able to use these, high-quality hardware is required that has corresponding hardware chipsets.
The Vigor166 serves VDSL/supervectoring/G.Fast connections.
Please note additionally that due to the discontinuation of ADSL support on the Vigor166, there is now no longer a separate Annex-A and Annex-B variant, as this only affected ADSL spectrums.
On delivery, the Vigor166 is a pure modem. If desired, the administrator can reconfigure the device, within the web interface, as a router. Here, the Vigor166 then has an integrated SPI firewall, port forwarding, DHCP server and other features.

Sophos Central Endpoint Protection does more than defend against known malware based on signatures. It also protects your Windows, Mac, and Linux systems from modern endpoint threats. Leveraging real-time threat data from SophosLabs, the solution correlates suspicious behaviors and activities: from malicious URLs, web exploit code, and unexpected system changes to command-and-control traffic. This keeps your endpoints and data reliably protected.
Sophos Central Server Protection goes beyond signature-based defense against known malware to protect your Windows and Linux servers against modern threats. Based on real-time threat data from SophosLabs, the solution correlates suspicious behavior and activity: from malicious URLs to web exploit code, unexpected system changes and command-and-control traffic. This keeps your servers and data reliably protected.
Sophos XG software gives you the functionality of Sophos XG hardware firewalls on your own Intel-compatible hardware or as a virtual instance on VMWare, Hyper-V or the Amazon Cloud.
The application software and hardened operating system are combined into a single software image and can be easily deployed on the hardware of your choice. The self-booting software package installs in minutes on a dedicated Intel-compatible computer. The software appliances offer the same full feature set as our pre-installed hardware appliances. However, with the software appliances, you have the option to change or upgrade the underlying hardware.
The performance metrics depend on the hardware you choose. The best performance is achieved with hardware configurations with at least Intel dual/quad-core CPUs running at 2 GHz and 2 GB RAM.
Compared to the Sophos SG series, the new Sophos virtual appliance comes standard with IPSec, SSL VPN and comprehensive wireless protection as part of the base firewall.

The AP 320X is the outdoor access point from Sophos and offers you the best conditions for outdoor use thanks to its IP67 certification.
The Sophos access points are very easy to integrate into your IT infrastructure. Multiple wireless access points are ready for use within a few minutes thanks to the automatic setup and configuration. The access points are simply connected and immediately appear automatically in the Sophos UTM user interface. Afterwards, the access points are activated in the console and start operating after a few seconds. The devices are an ideal solution when it comes to setting up several separate Wifi zones.
By configuring a Wifi, you enable your employees to access internal network resources. You can also provide guests with wireless Internet access using the same access point. This leaves the integrity of your internal network untouched.

Sophos UTM Firewalls
Assim nasceu a abordagem UTM.
